All entry fees must be paid online. All bats that pass compression will be stickered. 240 stamped bats must pass 240 compression. Up to 20 bats per team can be tested. Teams must arrive at least ONE HOUR before your first game. Team bats must be presented to our testers all together. Two team representatives can present the bats and witness the testing. To prevent a crowded test area, all other players must stay away from our testing table during your team bat testing. Team representatives must let the tester know before they walk away from the testing table if there are any late players arrivals. A maximum of 3 late arrivals allowed per team.Bat Testing Locations will be sent out two days before the eventTo get a jump on bat testing, we will announce a bat testing window Friday night at a TBD location. We will make an announcement no later than Friday morning.Ball: Teams will receive TWO Worth GSL or USSSA stamped Super Gold Dot Extreme Classic-M 12" Slow Pitch Softballs during team check-in. We will provided Worth Super Green Dots Classic-W balls for the Women's event. Back up Worth GSL or USSSA stamped Super Gold Dot Extreme Classic-M balls can be purchased at our check-in area for $70 a dozen. Teams can use their own Worth GSL or USSSA Stamped Super Gold Dot Extreme Classic-M balls or Worth Super Gold Dot Pro-M balls as back up. Any other brand ball will be not be allowed/restricted for this event. It's the pitcher's responsibility to identify restricted balls before pitching. If they identify a restricted ball, they must present it to the umpire. The umpire will give the team up to bat a warning. If it happens again during the same game, the batter will be out and manager ejected from the game.Format: DOUBLE ELIMINATION BRACKET. Teams were seeded based on CLASS POINTS.Game Time: This is a World event so scheduled game time is forfeit time. Please help us stay on-time. Teams must be at the field ready to play 30 minutes prior to the team's scheduled start time after the first game. The only exception is if a team is playing back-to-back games and coming from another field.Time Limit: There is no time limit, but umpires will stay on top of keeping the games on pace. Please hustle in and out between innings. Run Rule is in effect. Game ends after 7 innings with the exception of a Run Rule or extra innings.Rosters: Rosters will be locked September 11th. Rosters will be frozen end of day September 13th.Rosters must be entered ONLINE and players participating in the event must be listed as ELIGIBLE on the online roster. The system will require players to exist in the player database before a manager can add them. If the system gives you an error message "NO PLAYER CAN BE ADDED BY A MANAGER THAT CURRENTLY DOES NOT EXIST IN THE DATABASE. TO HAVE THIS PLAYER ADDED PLEASE CONTACT YOUR STATE DIRECTOR", please contact your State Director to assist you with adding new players to the database. If you are unable to reach your State Director, please email [email protected] for assistance.If a player runs into an issue logging in or getting through the ELIGIBILITY process, they can contact their State Director or email [email protected] for assistance. I need their team name, division, birthdate and email address. Please note: PENDING (INELIGIBLE) players will not be allowed to play and removed from the game until they complete the player eligibility process.Player Protests: You may protest the identity of a player to verify whether they are listed on the online roster as ELIGIBLE/PENDING. Protest fee per player is $100 cash. If the protest is valid, the protestor will get their money back and the illegal team will be DQ'd. During a player protest we will also search for multiple player profiles. The profile with the highest PRV will be considered the player rating and will be taken into consideration during the player protest.Please make sure the roster is 100% on point before the roster deadline. I can assist teams that can't find any help within their State.UNIFORM REQUIREMENTSEach GSL team must have similar uniforms with a clearly defined team name and/or logo. Each player must also have a visible, unique, affixed number. If these requirements cannot be satisfied, the option of being the home team will be forfeited. If caps are worn, the visor must be facing forward. Exception: Any player wearing a helmet or face mask while playing defense. Protests on uniforms will not be allowed. It shall be the UMPIRE responsibility to determine uniform legality. Violation of the uniform rule will result in the violator being allowed to conform or be removed from the game.Managers Meeting: Meeting will be a ZOOM call and invite will be emailed to managers. Meeting will be hosted on Tuesday night. Invite will be sent out Sunday night.Team Check In: Manager must check-in before the first game at the Director area by the bat testing station. See park map above. Teams will get their event packet and two game balls.Park Address: Lou Berliner Sports Park - 1300 Deckenbach Rd, Columbus, OH 43223Live Streaming: Teams may live stream their own games from behind the backstop. If a Berliner park staff asks to remove a camera from their backstop, teams must comply.
